Help & FAQs
Welcome to the EEV Investor Help Desk. Below you will find answers regarding our stock analysis metrics, platform tools, privacy safeguards, and how the site works. If you need additional support, always feel free to email us at admin@eevinvestor.com.
1. Methodology & Investment Philosophy
Q: Where do you get the data for your stock evaluations?
A: We source our financial data from institutional-grade financial data providers—the same feeds used by Wall Street firms and hedge funds. This ensures that every calculation in our data models is built on accurate corporate filings and market metrics.
Q: Do you provide personalized investment advice or financial planning?
A: No. We do not provide personalized investment advice, wealth management, or individual financial planning. EEV Investor is strictly a research platform. All outputs, metrics, and ratings are for educational and informational purposes only. Because every investor has a different risk tolerance, you should always do your own research or consult with a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
Q: Is your EEV Rating a definitive buy or sell recommendation?
A: No. We do not provide trading recommendations or tell you when to enter or exit the market. The EEV Framework is a filter designed to give you an unbiased point of view. It helps isolate high-quality stocks that have the potential to compound over the long term. Please use our analysis as a helpful baseline to cross-reference against your own independent research.
Q: What exactly do the Environment, Evaluation, and Valuation pillars mean?
A: Our models break down each stock across three straightforward categories:
- Environment: Measures the broader macroeconomic factors, industry trends, and headwinds or tailwinds impacting the company.
- Evaluation: Analyzes the underlying business for operational strength, capital allocation history, and management execution stability using our proprietary TRUMP scorecard.
- Valuation: Looks at the company's current stock price to see if buying it actually makes sense. We check if the stock is overpriced and ensure you are getting a reasonable margin of safety compared to the business's actual profits and cash generation.
2. Privacy & Report Lifespan Rules
Q: What happens to my generated stock reports after one year?
A: To keep our framework open and useful for long-term investors, all generated research reports automatically enter the public domain exactly one year (365 days) after they are created. This builds a helpful historical archive for the community while keeping your active member workspace focused on your current ideas.
Q: When a report becomes public after 365 days, is my identity revealed?
A: Absolutely not. Your privacy is fully protected. When a report enters the public domain, all personal details are completely removed. The public only sees the historical analysis of the stock ticker itself. Your name, email address, and profile are never shared or associated with the public record.
Q: Can other users see My Watchlist or active reports?
A: No. Your active reports and watchlist are private and securely tied directly to your premium member login.
3. Dashboard Mechanics & Watchlist Automation
Q: How does the Premium Member Watchlist work?
A: Your live Watchlist is an automated dashboard linked directly to your profile:
- Whenever you run a new analysis report on a stock symbol, that ticker is added to your dashboard list.
- The system reads the underlying data and populates the stock symbol alongside its individual scores for Environment, Evaluation, Valuation, and the overall EEV Rating.
Q: What happens if I click "Delete" on a stock in my watchlist?
A: Clicking Delete simply removes that stock from your active watchlist dashboard view. This does not delete the report itself. Your full report remains completely safe under the My Reports tab. The stock will only show up on your active watchlist again if you choose to run a brand-new report for it in the future.
Q: What does the "Refresh" link do?
A: Clicking Refresh runs an immediate update in the background. It tells our system to pull the latest corporate numbers and recalculate the stock’s current pillars. While this runs, you will see a temporary status notification on your screen. Once completed, it seamlessly updates the table with the fresh ratings without forcing you to reload the page.
4. Troubleshooting & Performance
Q: I refreshed a stock but the EEV Ratings stayed the same. Is it broken?
A: Not at all. If the ratings don't change, it just means that the company's underlying financial data, recent filings, or macro metrics haven't changed since your last run. The system successfully calculated the data, it just yielded the same model score as before.
